Tartil Larvy

It's not clear whether these creatures are made of tar or simply covered in tar. Whatever it is, they're extremely sticky, and they don't seem too happy about it.

Appearance

A Tartil looks like giant balls of living tar with black eyestalks that come out of the top of its body. It has a pair of short, stubby legs that it uses to crawl around. A Tartil has 3 different color based on their tier:

• Tartil has a pitch black color.
• Filthy Tartil has a dank green color.
• Blood Tartil has a crimson color with red eyes instead of black.

A Tartil comes in 3 sizes:

• Tartil Larvy is the smallest size.
• Tartil is medium sized.
• Tartil Pappy is the largest size.

Behavior

Tartils spawn near tar pools in outskirts of Savanna. Tartils usually get aggressive when the player is near. A Tartil has 2 attacks, both happening after a short growl from the Tartil:

• The Tartil shoots a tar projectile to the player that explodes in a large area when hitting ground. This attack deals physical damage.
• The Tartil shoots a burning tar projectile to the player that explodes into a small fire pool that lasts for a short time. This attack deals fire damage.

Taming

• Hatching a domesticated Tartil with Tartil Incubator requires a Tartil Egg that drops from any Tartils but Tartil Larvy, which is the smallest Tartil.
• A domesticated Tartil can produce Tartil Firedamp when stationed.
• A domesticated Tartil requires these Creature Catalysts to upgrade:
  • Tartil Barrel from Normal to Powerful
  • Ten Tonne Bomb from Powerful to Epic
