Glidopus Hatchling

The Glidopus is the second (or third if you've seen the night cycle beforehand) creature you will encounter in the Savanna Biome. They are floating squid-like creatures which produce electricity.

Appearance

A Glidopus has similar physique as real life octopus, with the main differences being that a Glidopus has 3 tentacles instead of 8. A Glidopus also has a beak under its tentacles. A Glidopus has 3 different colors based on their tier:

• Glidopus has primarily blue color scheme.
• Verdant Glidopus has primarily green color scheme.
• Elder Glidopus has primarily brown color scheme with bits of pale yellow dots on its skin.

A Glidopus comes in 3 sizes:

• Glidopus Hatchling is the smallest size.
• Glidopus is medium sized.
• Glidopus Matriarch is the largest size.

Behavior

Glidopi spawn near the Savanna waters. They get aggressive when the player is near or when the player harvests Whistleroot near them. A Glidopus attacks by dashing to the player, dealing physical damage. Occassionally the dash is followed up by a combo of far dashes that deal electric damage.

Taming

• Hatching a domesticated Glidopus with Glidopus Incubator requires a Glidopus Egg that drops from any Glidopi but Glidopus Hatchling, which is the smallest Glidopus.
• A domesticated Glidopus can produce Glidopus Larva when stationed.
• A domesticated Glidopus requires these Creature Catalysts to upgrade:
  • Glidopus Love Balloon from Normal to Powerful
  • Kaglidoscope from Powerful to Epic
